Our friend, Kristi,  is back in Kansas after her courageous 6 week journey of radiation here at MD Anderson. She reminds me of the joy that is found in the halls of a cancer hospital and how lives really do intersect in such amazing ways. We, patients, families, friends, always have a goal in mind: to "ring the bell" and to reach remission. But I've learned that we really need to embrace the journey towards that prize...learning to depend on a Holy God, leaning on others, and counting the gifts along the way. The journey changes you; you chuckle at first-world problems and you cherish ordinary things in your life.
